Jennifer Love Hewitt and fiance Ross McCall have officially called it quits according to People. The couple became engaged in November 2007, but called things off over the Christmas holdays.

“They broke up over the holidays and have ended their engagement,” says a source close to the couple. “They’re both really sad about this. Even their friends are surprised; they seemed really happy. Everyone just wants the best for both of them.”

Ryan McCall must have finally realized that he would have to listen to Hewitt’s failed music for the rest of his life.

Katie Holmes is burning through Tom’s cash

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have spent almost $14 million since moving to New York City six months ago. The couple moved to the Big Apple as Katie prepared to make her Broadway debut in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons.

Most of the cash went towards buying three apartments in the block where they are staying.

Holmes has seen been called “Manhattan’s Most Valued Shopper” by The New York Post. “She has been valiantly doing her bit to boost our economy,” the paper said.

Katie spent an estimated $7,315 on dinner tabs at top restaurants like Balthazar and Nobu; she’s also reportedly spent more than $17,000 on clothes for herself and her toddler Suri, and $13,987 on child care.

Winehouse’s beach romance

Amy Winehouse is spending a lot of time at the beach in St. Lucia bathing topless. I did us all a favor and refused to publish those images. She’s been repeatedly pictured in the arms of an unidentified man.

Meanwhile, Amy’s vacation will soon be coming to an end — she’s due to make a court appearance on drug charges in Norway on January 12.

The Norwegian prosecutor told the media, “I was informed by British police on Dec. 23 that she has been legally summoned, and we expect that she will be there when the trial opens on Jan. 12.”

Julian McMahon vacations down under, not afraid of speedo.

When you are a big time male actor, with a hit show like Nip Tuck, you are totally allowed to wear speedos….so long as you are not in the United States. As was the case with Nip Tuck star, Julian McMahon this weekend where he was vacationing in Australia, totally speedo’d out. Or whatever those things are. Are they speedos? You tell me, I am too much of a man to keep examining them. Actually, I am going to go grab a Playboy magazine and regain my manhood that was lost due to posting this crap.

Britney Spears, regular coke with a splash of nipples.

I really do think Britney Spears has come a long ways in reviving her hotness, but I don’t think that her nipples have ever recovered, now will they ever. So unfortunately, gotta give Britney a bad grade on this nipple slip, that at one time would have been super awesome. Now its just a story that I have to post to get on with the day. Oh well, at least she has come around. Also, when I said “coke,” I literally meant coke. Look at the pictures and get your minds out of the gutters. Thanks.
